Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking for a compassionate and experienced Nursing Assistant to join our AAU ICU Unit. This is a PRN nights position 7:00pm to 7:00am located at Baptist Medical Center Nassau in Fernandina Beach, FL.

We are looking for Certified Nursing Assistant candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and focus on providing quality patient care. Nursing Assistants (NAs) assist RNs supporting in the care of patients. Nursing Assistants works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). This position is 36 hours a week.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Patient activities of daily living
  • Maintaining a safe environment for patients
  • Collecting lab specimens
  • Intake and output monitoring
  • Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Courses Required: Fundamentals of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and current enrollment in nursing school. The following have been grandfathered into the Nursing Assistant role: Foreign nurse, Foreign Physician, and nursing assistants hired prior to April 23, 2015 without a Florida CNA license.

Experience

  • 1 year Clinical Patient Care Experience Preferred
  • Monitor Technician Experience Preferred
  • Health Unit Coordinator Experience Preferred
  • Electronic Health Record Experience Preferred
  • Experience working in a hospital setting Preferred

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
