Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add an Emergency Department Technician to add to our Emergency Department at Baptist Oakleaf. This is a Evenings PRN opportunity. The Emergency Department Technician will be responsible for:

  • Assisting RNs in the Emergency Department with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including activities of daily living;
  • Maintaining a safe environment;
  • Collecting lab specimens;
  • Intake and Output monitoring;
  • Electronic medical record documentation;
  • Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • Less than 1 year Hospital Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Trasnport Medicine Setting Experience Required
  • Less than 1 year Patient Care Experience Required

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Incident Command system (ICS) 300, 400 Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Licensed Registered Paramedic Required
