Baptist Jacksonville is currently hiring for a Full-Time Patient Access Birth Registrar to join our Main Admitting Team at our Baptist Jacksonville location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.

Shift Details: Wednesday - Saturday 7:30am-6pm plus assigned holidays

As a Patient Access Birth Registrar, you will be responsible for:

  • Under general supervision and following applicable laws and statutes of the state, collects and electronically transfers patient data in order to register births and provide prenatal statistical information on all newborn infants and their parents.
  • Birth Registrar is the point of contact between Health Information Management (HIM), parents, nurses, obstetricians, Department of Public Health and various state entities.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree

Experience

  • 1-2 years Medical Billing Experience Required
  • 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required

License and Certification

  • Certfied Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) Preferred Or
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Preferred Or
