Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center is currently hiring for a Full-Time 3rd 11:00 pm - 7:00 am shift Power Plant Operator to join our Plant and Facilities Department at our Baptist Medical Center location here in the Jacksonville, FL area.
The Power Plant Operator position inspects and repairs equipment in the Energy Complex. Monitors power plant equipment in order to spot potential problems. Takes appropriate action to resolve problems and minimize damage to equipment. Reads all gauges on equipment and makes adjustments to bring them into the appropriate range. Performs minor repairs to equipment as requested.
As a Power Plant Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the equipment in the Energy and Utility Plant.
- Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
- Monitoring and adjusting equipment as necessary to maintain optimal operation.
- Identifying potential problems and taking appropriate action to resolve problems and minimize damage to equipment.
- Documenting equipment readings and activities as required.
- Maintaining the energy and utility plant in a clean, organized and safe condition.
- Primary responsibilities will be energy and utilities but will also be given general mechanical assignments as needed.
