Job Summary
We’re hiring a Psych Provider Assistant for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Department in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Full Time Days position located at Baptist Medical Center - Nocatee.
The Psych Provider Assistant (PPA) will support the Behavioral Health Department by directly assisting the provider and front desk staff. This position requires an individual who can multitask and obtains excellent written and verbal communication, organizational skills and a previous experience in clerical work.
A bachelors degree in Psychology or Social Work is required to be eligible for this position.
Shift Details: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
Psych Provider Assistant, Behavioral Health Outpatient Department, Job Responsibilities:
- The direct assistant to the psych provider.
- Manages all administrative duties for the psychiatrist.
- Performs similar functions for the non-psychiatrist providers as needed.
- Dually trains as an office specialist and has knowledge of the billing and scheduling job codes.
- Ensures that the office runs smoothly and without disruption.
