Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technoloigst to our radiology department in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, as a Radiology Technologist, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to perform X-ray procedures, providing critical support in diagnosing and treating patients. You will also maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring accurate results and optimal patient care. As a Radiology Technologist you will be responsible for:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and other radiographic exams.
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures to ensure high-quality diagnostic results while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to review and evaluate imaging results for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Follow radiation safety measures to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
- Provide clear instructions and compassionate support to patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized radiology suite to promote efficiency and safety.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques.
- Contribute to a team-oriented, patient-focused work environment, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
