Baptist Health is looking to add a Radiology Technologist in our Radiology Department at our Free-Standing Emergency Department at Town Center in Jacksonville, FL. The primary responsibility of our Radiology Technologist is to ensure physicians and other members of a patient’s care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments. This is a PRN various shifts opportunity. Participation in holiday rotation is required.

This Radiology Technologist will:

• Perform general diagnostic, operative, and emergency room procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision.
• Must be able to do fluoro, minor OR cases, portables and diagnostic x-rays.
• Promotes good will amongst co-workers and with other departments, and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Identifies, prepares, administers, and documents medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.

• None Experience working in a hospital setting

License and Certification

• Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required

The new 16-bed emergency center at the St. Johns Town Center houses two emergency centers under one roof - one for adults and one for children.  Conveniently located near the intersection of Interstate 295 and Town Center Parkway, the Baptist/Wolfson Children's emergency center is a true hospital ER, staffed 24/7 by board-certified emergency medicine physicians.  On-site technology includes ultrasound, CT scanner, X-ray, a full service laboratory and telemedicine consultation services.
