Wolfson's Childrens Hospital is currently hiring for a Full-Time Days Referral Coordinator to join our Rehab Outpatient Center located at Baptist South.

The team works closely alongside patients and providers. This team member will be comfortable in an office setting, should be a hard worker, customer service oriented, and multi task skilled. The department focus is helping MD Anderson patients through their medical process by working with the patient's schedule and confirming patient appointments such as check in and check out, collections, inbasket messaging, scheduling infusion, and working with other clinical teams.

Schedule: Monday -Thursday- 9:00am - 6:30pm and Friday- 9:00am to 12:30pm.

As a Referral Coordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Providing referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies.
  • Checking in & out patients
  • Answering Phones
  • Scanning/Faxing documents
  • Collecting copays
  • Collect patient demographics/insurance information and ensure that the registration is updated
  • Maintaining medical documentation, schedules appointments, and processes prescriptions and referrals.

Experience

  • Less than 1 year Medical Office Experience

License and Certification

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Preferred
