Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Specialist, Media/Public Relations to join the Public Relations team. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity located on the downtown Jacksonville campus.

Responsible for working in a fast-paced environment to draft compelling content and build strong media relationship to positively represent Baptist Health and Wolfson Children’s to the community. The role involves developing press releases, health articles, patient stories, marketing materials, crisis communications plans, and more, as well as pitching positive stories to media outlets and managing press inquiries in alignment with the organization’s overall public relations strategy. The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills (proficiency in AP Style is a must), a strategic mindset for media engagement and the ability to create impactful narratives that resonate with a diverse audience. Excellent at working with a varied range of clients including physicians, executives, patients, etc. and managing multiple projects concurrently.

Experience: -3-5 years PR experience-Writing and editing experience-Bachelor’s degree in public relations, advertising, journalism or similar field required. Master’s degree preferred.
