Baptist Medical Center is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterile Processing Department at Baptist South. This position is a Full-time Nights opportunity, with the shift times being from 9 PM to 5 AM, Monday through Friday. Call is required for this position.
As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include:
- Understand principles of sterilization.
- Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
- Able to prioritize duties.
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform
- Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays
Sterile Processing Technician - Education and Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certified Sterille Processing Techncian (preferred - not required)
- 1-2 years Instrument Experience
- Knowledge of Regulatory Protocols
