Baptist Health is looking for a Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to join our Float Team. As a member of the Float Team, you will have the opportunity to work either Full-time or PRN shifts, offering a flexible schedule to accommodate your lifestyle. A PRN candidate is required to work four shifts per month and a full-time candidate is required to work three shifts per week, weekends included for both. All shifts are 10-hour shifts and there is no on-call required.
A Surgical Technologist in this position will float between campuses including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating room. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and patient-focused environment while enjoying the benefits of a flexible work schedule.
As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Assembling, organizing, and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures.
- Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and the progression of the case and preparing accordingly.
- Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
- Working with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and to promote patient safety.
- Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
- OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
- Minimum of two years of working experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Experience in Ortho – total joints, robot, general, Gynecology, ENT, or urology.
