Overview

The 12-month Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) Residency Program at Baptist Health provides residents with the skills and knowledge required to become competent pharmacy practitioners.

  • The program of each resident varies based upon his or her goals, interests, and experience
  • Each resident is required to complete core rotations essential to the pharmacy practitioner
  • A variety of elective rotations are available, allowing residents the opportunity to pursue individual goals
  • Residents are required to develop and complete a major research
    project, which will be presented at the Florida Residency Conference or equivalent
  • Residents will develop oral and written communication skills and participate in various leadership and practice management committees
  • Upon successful completion of the residency program, residents will receive a Certificate of Completion
