Baptist Health breaks ground on new center for primary care, wellness and more in Seven Pines

Baptist HealthPlace at Seven Pines will bring convenient high-quality preventive health care to the master-planned community in southeast Jacksonville.

Jacksonville, FL.

The Seven Pines community of Jacksonville will soon welcome a new Baptist HealthPlace campus, offering a comprehensive range of health and wellness services, including a new primary care practice, all in one convenient location. Baptist Health recently broke ground on the new center, which is expected to open in spring 2026.

The campus is located near Butler Boulevard and I-295, just east of St. Johns Town Center, within the master-planned community of Seven Pines. Situated between Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center South and Baptist Medical Center Beaches, and just down the road from Baptist & Wolfson Town Center Emergency Room, Baptist HealthPlace at Seven Pines is ideally positioned to function as a central outpatient hub for residents in need of both preventive health care and services to manage ongoing medical conditions.

There are currently around 1.25 million people living within a 30-minute drive of the new campus. By 2030, the population in this expanding area is expected to grow by 8.5%.

“We’re thrilled to be part of the Seven Pines community,” said Catherine Graham, MSH, senior vice president, clinical service lines and ambulatory business development for Baptist Health. “By situating the campus in this dynamic and high-traffic area of southeast Jacksonville, Baptist Health is making quality care conveniently available right where people live, work and thrive.”

Primary care, heart doctors and a wellness center

Baptist HealthPlace at Seven Pines will feature two state-of-the-art medical office buildings. The first building will house a new Baptist Primary Care practice, with offices for family medicine and internal medicine physicians, plus offices for cardiologists with Baptist Heart Specialists. It will also feature a wellness center offering health and wellness resources and programs, such as wellness coaching, educational classes on preventive health care and talks with physicians and other local health experts.

Plans for the second medical office building include a potential ambulatory surgery center with imaging and laboratory services, designed with the flexibility to expand and adapt as the community’s health care needs evolve.

“With the capacity to expand services over time, Baptist HealthPlace at Seven Pines is an investment in the long-term health and well-being of this community,” said Michael A. Mayo, DHA, FACHE, president and CEO of Baptist Health. “This approach underscores Baptist Health’s dedication to providing easy access to the exceptional care Jacksonville’s residents so rightly deserve.”

The exciting new design of Baptist HealthPlace at Seven Pines is inspired by the architecture of the master-planned community with residential and retail properties. The combination of concrete block, metal, and wood, paired with a fresh, contemporary interpretation of historic industrial architecture, ensures the medical buildings will blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape.
