Baptist Health is committed to increasing supplier diversity in our operations and providing opportunities for diverse suppliers to participate in our strategic sourcing efforts.
We seek to develop valuable relationships with local businesses that are minority-owned, woman-owned, disadvantaged-owned, veteran-owned, and small businesses in historically underutilized business zones (HUBZones).
To support the growth of diverse business opportunities, the Baptist Health Supplier Diversity Program promotes the following practices:
Inclusion
Utilizing best practices to infuse supplier diversity into all stages of the procurement process.
Strategic Sourcing

We seek to develop valuable relationships with local businesses that are minority-owned, woman-owned, disadvantaged-owned, veteran-owned, and small businesses in historically underutilized business zones (HUBZones).
We integrate supplier diversity into our business strategies, making good faith efforts to include diverse suppliers in sourcing activities, and increasing access and the number of diverse suppliers with whom we do business. As a community-focused, locally governed organization, purchasing goods and services from local qualified and certified diverse suppliers is one of the ways we can support the communities we serve.
Supporting diverse businesses improves our supply chain and promotes economic success for our suppliers and our entire community. This effort makes our health system stronger—and it’s one way we demonstrate our commitment to the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
Our Supplier Diversity program is fully endorsed and supported by the Baptist Health executive leadership team.
We look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
Michael A. Mayo, DHA, FACHE
President and Chief Executive Officer
