About Me

After graduating with a BA in Psychology from New York University in 2004, I worked for several years as a research assistant at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Later, in 2012, I earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University. After completing both research and clinical fellowships in New York City, my family and I moved to Northeast Florida where I am excited to provide psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. In my work as a clinical psychologist, I specialize in providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). For the past few years, I have been incorporating mindfulness into therapy and developing skills in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Through psychotherapy, I have helped many people to address a wide range of problems, including depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, obsessions and compulsions, panic, trauma, and difficulties in socializing and communicating.

I am also experienced in working with individuals affected by schizophrenia, as well as their families. Always collaborative, my approach to therapy is informed by the uniqueness of each person and his/her experiences in context, while at the same time employing the treatments that research suggests are the most effective. I think that the decision to try psychotherapy is an extremely brave one, and I am always in awe of people's ability to change and to cope. It is an honor to work with that process, and that privilege is something I try to never lose sight of.

A native New Yorker, I am enjoying the sunshine and beaches of Northeast Florida with my family. I am hopeful that I can give back to my new community through my professional work as well as through outreach and volunteer opportunities.
