Julia “Jill” Garrett, Psy.D, PMH-C is the founding psychologist of the maternal mental health service line at Baptist Medical Center, The Motherhood Space. Dr. Garrett created the 3-tiered program, which includes psychoeducation for frontline providers who interact with individuals in the perinatal period, an online video series on maternal mental health, and a perinatal-specific day program, The Motherhood Space Day Program, where she serves as the Program Director. She holds a specialty credential in perinatal mental health and her area of expertise includes Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). Her areas of expertise include:

About Me

I believe it is important to work with empathy, authenticity and compassion with each patient. I strive to create a strong working relationship that is built on trust and collaboration. My philosophy of care is integrative in nature, tailoring treatment to each individual with whom I work.

After living in New York City for ten years, I relocated to Jacksonville, Florida in 2011. I love the Florida sunshine, and when I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, reading, and trips to the nearby beaches.
