Theodore Glasser Biography and Information
Theodore “Ted” Glasser, MD, is the vice president of medical affairs.
In this role, he focuses on the effectiveness of clinical care at Baptist Jacksonville, liaising between the administration and medical staff to ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of medical care. He reports to System CMO Timothy G. Groover, MD, MBA, CPE, FACHE, Senior Vice President, Baptist Health. Dr. Glasser joined Baptist Health in 1996 as the first full-time hospitalist within the Baptist Health system. He oversaw the growth of the Baptist Primary Care (BPC) hospitalist group, which serves all adult hospitals in the system. Throughout his tenure, he has held multiple leadership positions with increasing responsibilities, including as the medical director of inpatient services with BPC, chief of staff at Baptist Jacksonville, chairman of the Department of Medicine and section chief of Internal Medicine, among others.
In addition to his leadership at Baptist Health, Dr. Glasser is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine and a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars medical staff.
A member of the Society of Hospital Medicine, Dr. Glasser received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now known as Rutgers University). He earned his fellowship at Harvard Medical School and served his internship and residency at Hackensack Medical Center in New Jersey. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Chemistry from Union College in New York.
