Allegra C. Jaros Biography and Information
Allegra Jaros joined Wolfson Children's as President and Baptist Health as a Senior Vice President in January 2023. As president, Jaros is the leader responsible for strategic and operational excellence and execution, advocacy both regionally and statewide, and philanthropic advancement.
As the only center for comprehensive and state-of-the-art pediatric trauma, surgical, neonatal and medical care, Wolfson Children's and its affiliate locations offer access to top-decile pediatric care throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
Prior to moving to Jacksonville, she served as vice president of Buffalo-Niagara, New York-based Kaleida Health and as president of John R. Oishei Children's Hospital for ten years, a regional center for pediatric trauma, surgical and medical care, including neonatal, perinatal and obstetric services. Jaros is a long-time health care leader passionate about issues impacting children, women and families.
She is a member of Florida's Specialty Children's Hospital Council, chairs the audit committee for the Children's Hospital Association Board (serving on the board since 2001), is the finance chair for the Jacksonville Sports Medicine Program, and serves on the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS Board. She is currently a member of the Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2025. She has been recognized numerous times with the Woman of Distinction Award, as one of the most influential leaders in the communities she serves.
Jaros received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Canisius College in Buffalo, where she also earned her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on health care.
Jaros is married to Jason and they have two children, daughter Jaden and son Parker. She enjoys exploring new places with her family, reading and walking with friends.
