Mark A. Toney, MD serves as Vice President, Medical Affairs for Wolfson Children's Hospital.
Dr. Toney is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric hospitalist. He has served as chief of the Division of Hospital Pediatrics for Nemours Children's Health and Wolfson Children's Hospital since 2012.
In his role, Dr. Toney focuses on the effectiveness of clinical care across all Wolfson Children's locations, including the main hospital, five freestanding children's emergency centers, Pediatric Trauma Center and regional outpatient pediatric specialty care centers.
A Jacksonville native, Dr. Toney graduated from Bishop Kenny High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in 2000. He completed his pediatric residency with the University of Florida College of Medicine -- Jacksonville in 2003.
Dr. Toney is married to Meagan and is the father of four. In his spare time, he enjoys skeet shooting, racquetball and playing card games with family and friends.
