Maternity services update

Effective May 31, 2022, inpatient maternity services are temporarily paused at Baptist Nassau after the retirement of William McGrath, MD. Baptist Nassau is actively recruiting new obstetricians and is committed to resuming inpatient maternity care as quickly as possible.

Until then:

  • All other Baptist Health hospitals in Northeast Florida are continuing to deliver babies and provide inpatient maternal-newborn services.

  • Care for expectant moms in Nassau County continues to be provided on an outpatient basis by Women’s Care Florida and other OB providers.

Update on Maternity Center Renovation
Baptist Nassau is looking forward to unveiling its $8.5 million maternity center renovation in 2023, which features large private suites where the baby will be able to “room-in” with mom, plus spa-like bathrooms, mini-fridges, and large windows for natural light that overlook a beautiful atrium.

Comfortable Maternity Suites

  • Flat-screen TVs
  • Sleeper sofas and chairs for your guests
  • Mini-refrigerators in maternal newborn rooms
  • Room service meals with dietary service options
  • Individualized lactation support
  • Mom 365 professional photography service
