Preparing for Your Little One's Arrival

We know there is so much to do preparing for delivery. The last thing we want you worrying about is insurance and intake forms when it's "go time." Let's speed up your admission process by taking care of the business details early.

1. Sign up for My Baptist Chart

My Baptist Chart is going to be your go-to for managing everything from your hospital bills to your child's medical records and insurance. If you don't have My Baptist Chart, now is the time to sign up!

2. Pre-Register for Delivery

If you are 20 weeks or further in your pregnancy, it's time to pre-register using My Baptist Chart. Pre-registration streamlines the intake process so when you arrive at the hospital, you're already in our system. This is where you will fill in your information and birth preferences, like whether you want to breastfeed or how you want to manage pain.

Login to My Baptist Chart and select "Register for My Delivery."

Check Your Insurance Coverage

Is your insurance coverage accepted by our Baptist Health hospitals? While your insurance may be accepted by your OB/GYN office, we recommend making sure our hospitals accept your plan as well.

Next Steps

  • Create Your Birth Plan

From medicated to low-intervention births, we offer a range of options for delivery.

  • Find a Pediatrician

Line up your pediatrician before you give birth. You'll want a pediatrician to see your baby after you deliver and schedule your newborn appointments.

  • Take a Class

From breastfeeding classes to basic baby care, our maternity/labor and delivery nurse educators offer in-person, virtual and pre-recorded options.

  • Complete eCheck-in

When you are 30 days prior to your expected due date or scheduled delivery, you can complete eCheck-in through My Baptist Chart. This is where you will fill out some essential paperwork online.

  • Birth Certificate & Social Security

A team member will assist with the filing of the Birth Certificate / Social Security information after you deliver.

  • Add your Baby to Your Insurance

Make sure to add your little one to your insurance plan within 30 days of delivery! Contact your insurance company, then add your baby's insurance to My Baptist Chart.
