**DR. AL-EID WILL BEGIN SEEING PATIENTS ON MARCH 1, 2025** Haydar Al-Eid, MD, was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and spent two decades in Iraq before earning his medical degree. Returning to the U.S. in 2005, he pursued a medical career, joining the U.S. Navy in 2010 as a lieutenant in the Medical Corps. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and a pulmonary & critical care fellowship at the National Capital Consortium. Triple board certified, Dr. Al-Eid has held key leadership roles, including Chief of Pulmonary Medicine at A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center. He is an Assistant Professor at USUHS, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and an active researcher. After 14 years of service, he was honorably discharged in 2025, earning multiple military awards. Since Dr. Al-Eid has joined Baptist Pulmonary Specialists and settled down in Amelia Island, FL, he continues to serve in the Navy Reserves. His areas of expertise include:
