About Me

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California, attended Howard University for undergraduate, Boston University for graduate school, Wayne State University in Detroit for medical school, and did my family medicine residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. My educational journey has taught me warm weather and beaches make a tremendous difference in my quality of life; hence, the decision to continue my career in Jacksonville. I am recently married, so I am also looking forward to starting a family here in Jacksonville. I enjoy playing soccer, traveling the globe, spending time in nature, practicing yoga and meditation, and immersing myself in a good book (any genre).

I consider being able to serve my community through my role as a primary care physician as a spiritual practice, which I hold with the utmost reverence. My philosophy of care is establishing a therapeutic relationship and utilizing evidence-based medicine principles to optimize the body's innate healing capacity.
