She strives to provide personalized, compassionate care to all of her patients by collaboratively creating a personalized care plan that’s right for each individual patient. Dr. Townsel actively listens during your appointment, so that you feel that your health concerns are heard and understood. Beyond active listening, she helps her patients stay healthy by providing preventive care and taking the steps to manage chronic conditions. About Me

While originally from Arkansas, since 2019 my husband and I have made Jacksonville our new home. I use any and all free time to spend time with my husband trying new restaurants, traveling, or simply relaxing at home. We truly enjoy living here in the city and are constantly on the hunt for the next hidden gem, food or adventure-wise.

My parents always say that from a young age, I was telling them that I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. Shadowing a well-respected Family Medicine physician while I was in college truly sealed the deal for me. What I enjoy most about medicine is the ability to have a front-row seat to seeing the positive changes taking place in patients’ lives. I am truly passionate about making sure that my patients and I work together to address any and all healthcare goals. I try to serve as a resource that provides recommendations via evidence-based medicine, in order to empower patients to help make the best decisions for their health.

I am passionate about addressing and improving disparities in healthcare, particularly those that affect minority communities. It’s my goal to provide care for the underserved and work each day to make the community a little better than I found it.
