Snacks are available in the Gift Shop and from vending machines located on each floor.

Our social services department can help you plan your discharge, home health and medical equipment needs, community services, counseling, transportation and more. Ask your nurse or call the hospital operator at 904.271.6000 and ask to speak to a social services representative.

This interdisciplinary committee offers guidance to families, providers and treatment teams who are trying to reach an agreement about the best way to care for a patient, helping to provide clarity in cases where difficult ethical issues arise. Consult the Medical Ethics committee when:

• The patient’s treatment goals are unclear.

• There is uncertainty surrounding the decision-making roles of the patient, family, providers and the treatment team.

• The patient, family, providers or the treatment team needs help resolving a conflict.

Two full time chaplains, a chaplain resident and chaplain Interns, along with CPE trained volunteer chaplains are available to provide spiritual and emotional support to you and your family. Our chaplains minister from a multi-faith perspective and can assist in contacting a faith representative or resource of your preference. Your clergy person is welcome to visit you at any time convenient for you.

An On-Call Chaplain is available 24 hours a day to provide support in emergency situations. Hospital staff at the nearest nurse station will contact the chaplain on-call for you.

The Chaplain Office locations are on Tower 7D and Tower 8D by staff elevators. You are welcome to drop by or call at 904.271.6933.

The Serenity Chapel is located on the first floor, across from administration offices. The chapel is available 24 hours a day for people of all faiths and backgrounds.
