Hope for people who don't see improvement from antidepressant medication
Baptist Behavioral Health offers TMS as a non-drug, non-invasive treatment option for major depressive disorder, as well as a supplemental treatment for adults suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Neurostar® TMS Therapy is:

  • FDA approved since 2008
  • drug-free
  • non-invasive, meaning no surgery
  • clinically proven to reduce symptoms of depression and OCD
  • often used when other treatments aren't successful
  • 83% of patients experience positive results
  • 62% achieve complete remission from their depression symptoms

What is TMS and how does it work?
TMS uses a targeted magnetic pulse, similar to what is used in an MRI machine, to alter the patterns of your brain to decrease the symptoms of depression. TMS stimulates and awakens areas of the brain that are usually less active in depressed individuals to help relieve the symptoms of depression and improve a patient’s quality of life.

Led by a psychiatrist, our team is here to provide education and support through your recovery from depression.

Using NeuroStar® Advanced Therapy technology, we offer a 4-6 week course of treatment, 5 days a week, with each lasting about 19 minutes.
