As a spiritual counseling intern, you will have the unique opportunity to deeply explore the emotional and spiritual aspects of caring in a healthcare setting.

As part of your clinical experience, you will shadow professional chaplains and interact with team members from multiple healthcare disciplines as you care for patients, families and team members experiencing illness and transition in their lives. Our program will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to provide holistic support across a variety of disciplines.

Application and Requirements

Fall Internship
August 23 - December 3, 2024
Application Deadline: July 12, 2024

Spring Internship
January 13 - April 25, 2025
Application Deadline: November 15, 2024

Qualifications
Current enrollment in a ministry, pastoral care, or counseling degree at Southeastern University in Jacksonville, Florida

Program Requirements
• 8 hours/week of clinical care provided during daytime hours (8:30 am – 4:30 pm)
• 3 in-house overnight on-call shifts during the semester
