Advanced Practice Providers

Nurse Practitioners (APRNs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) are an important part of the Baptist Health team and help us increase timely access to care.

You'll see these advanced practice providers caring for patients in a variety of medical specialties at doctor's offices, hospitals, outpatient centers and emergency rooms. They have advanced medical education and work closely with physicians to diagnose and treat patients, and even prescribe medication.

About Me

I am the product of two incredibly dedicated nurses and was born in Detroit, Michigan. Attending PA school in Tampa and now living in Jacksonville has been a fun new adventure with plenty of new opportunities. My fiance, who has been my biggest supporter, and I spend a large amount of my time focusing on personal fitness and nutrition, with off days usually spent catching up on movies, books, and finding the next landmark to explore.

I am of the mind that everyone is entitled to quality healthcare as it is not always a choice to be sick or to have an increased risk for disease. Therefore justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion are always a consideration each time I meet with a patient. Additionally, healthcare is a collaborative effort where the patient is the most important player. I think for as much as we can teach patients about their pathologies, there is an equal amount that they can teach us as providers.

I believe public programs that allow for easier access to healthcare are paramount to a functional society. My time with public health programs such as Tampa Family Health Centers and Calvary Clinic in PA school allowed me to see the influence of accessible resources on underserved populations, and will always be something I will strongly advocate for.
