Subrato Deb, MD, MPH Biography and Info

Subrato J. Deb, MD, MPH, was recruited from the University of Oklahoma Cancer Center, where he was a professor and the chief of thoracic oncology. Under his leadership, patients in Oklahoma received the highest standard of surgical quality with nationally recognized programs in lung and esophageal cancer. Since Dr. Deb’s arrival in Jacksonville, he has established similar excellence in lung cancer surgery, which is ranked in the top 5% in national outcomes, the only such program in the area. Dr. Deb is recognized as an expert in robotic surgery, performing more operations than anyone in the region. Prior to civilian life, Dr. Deb served for nearly 25 years as a naval surgeon including duty to Iraq. His areas of expertise include:
